Position Summary
The Managing Director is responsible for ensuring effective governance, group-wide performance, and alignment of strategic objectives across all business units. This leadership role requires a strong commercial mindset, operational oversight experience, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests.
Key Responsibilities
. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the group's strategic vision, long-term objectives, and performance goals.
- Lead portfolio development initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and business expansion strategies across multiple industries.
. Group Operational Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of operational performance across all subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with group-level policies and objectives.
- Implement consistent processes, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks to drive operational excellence.
. Compliance and Governance
- Ensure corporate compliance with applicable Singapore laws and industry-specific regulations, including ACRA and relevant statutory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of governance, risk management, and internal controls across all group entities.
. Stakeholder and Board Relations
- Foster strong relationships with Boards of Directors, investors, business partners, and internal leadership teams.
- Represent the group in high-level discussions, strategic partnerships, and external engagements.
. Financial Oversight
- Lead financial planning and budgeting at the group level, and monitor financial health and capital allocation across subsidiaries.
- Ensure timely, accurate group-wide financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
. Leadership and Culture
- Cultivate a high-performance leadership team and promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and cross-entity collaboration.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Mathematics and Economics with postgraduate qualifications. Postgraduate qualifications, such as an MBA or equivalent professional certifications, are an advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a senior leadership or C-suite role within a diversified corporate or holding group environment.
- Demonstrated capability in managing group-level operations, multi-sector business units, and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen with experience in global business operations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and regulatory agencies in Singapore and global.
- Ability to travel 80% across the globe and commence work in Dec 2025.
