We are now seeking an experienced professional to join the team.
Your key roles & responsibilities include:
. Plan, design, and implement framework to reinforce the markets business platform by collaborating with relevant stakeholders in pursuit of the above objective.
. Initiate and facilitate discussions with relevant parties and Senior Management, presenting direction, objectives, and ideas to define detailed goals and actionable plans.
. Lead system projects related to the markets business, ensuring effective execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
. Allocate and oversee tasks among team members, monitor and manage progress, and provide guidance or direct involvement in resolving issues as necessary.
. Liaise closely with Senior Management and key control departments at the Head Office to ensure alignment and compliance.
. Prepare and deliver reports to the Regional Heads of Project Steering Committee in collaboration with colleagues from Treasury Departments in APAC region, FG/BK Global Markets Coordination Department, APAC Coordination Function, and other relevant departments.
What you should have:
. The candidate is expected to strengthen markets business related to Sales & Trading (S&T) and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) across Mizuho's APAC branches and affiliates, as well as to establish and enhance the markets business platform supporting S&T and ALM activities within the region.
. Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, business management, Information Technology or related field.
. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in financial markets or project management with proven track record of leading cross-functional projects or frameworks, preferably in regional or global context.
. Strong knowledge of financial markets, systems and processes.
. Excellent verbal and communication skills, with ability to present complex concepts to senior management and experience is delivering reports to executive committees or regional heads.
. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define objectives, set actionable plans and monitor progress.
. Proficiency in Japanese language is a pre-requisite.
