A Managing Consultant at Talogy is critical in building strategic client partnerships and delivering impactful, scalable talent solutions. This position combines psychological expertise with strategic consulting to address complex client challenges, enhance client experiences, and support sustainable growth. Role Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Impact
- Lead client engagements across diverse industries, addressing complex problem statements to deliver high-impact assessment and development solutions.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of complex proposals, using a strategic and evidence-based approach.
- Ensure the highest quality client deliverables, managing and strengthening strategic client relationships to drive sustainable growth and success.
- Effective account management of strategic clients, establishing a trusted advisor position and expanding our network of known contacts.
Consulting Knowledge and Expertise
- Apply advanced psychological theories and practices to assess and address client needs, designing and conducting high-impact talent interventions.
- Provide up-to-date best practice advice on assessments, psychometric interventions, and talent solutions, supporting stakeholders and clients with informed, evidence-based guidance.
- Provide a high degree of technical insight to clients and colleagues, such as in relation to psychometric profiling, report writing, analysis, coaching, and presentations or proposals.
- Delivery of workshops, coaching, debriefing, and other client-facing services to a high standard. Implement ethical practices in all consulting processes, including informed consent, data ethics, and responsible technology use.
People management and development including
- Support with leading and developing a consulting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop team members by identifying capabilities and aspirations, enhancing their skills, and ensuring a high-performing consulting team.
- Mentor and coach direct reports, providing opportunities for enhanced accountability and growth.
Business Growth and Innovation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, drive revenue growth and expand market presence; achieve agreed new business and sales objectives.
- Align consulting practices with the organisation's strategic goals, leveraging technology and analytics to streamline services and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to thought leadership by participating in industry events, publishing insights, and developing innovative consulting methodologies.
Project Management
- Lead project planning, including scoping, timeline, budget management, and resource allocation.
- Engage with clients and internal teams to manage complex projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and strategic objectives.
- Provide direction on all elements of project management, including stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation.
- Proactively partner with colleagues in Sales teams or even leading on business development activities at times, e.g., building relationships with prospective clients, advising around the viability and practical limitations of solutions, supporting RFPs and proposal creation, driving continuous revenue with existing client accounts, participating in pitch meetings, etc.
- Collaborating with colleagues in Client Experience to support ongoing client interactions, e.g. general project management activities, product setup on TalogyTech systems, handling client queries, etc.
- Making regular contributions to support the Marketing group with general industry activities, e.g. writing content for blogs, participating in webinars, attending and presenting at conferences and events, etc.
- Contributing to strategic internal discussions and decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
- Education to master's degree level in organisational/business psychology or equivalent field. ▪ Chartered / Registered Psychologist (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of current theory and contemporary approaches in talent management.
- Formal accreditation in ability testing and personality assessment with two of the major assessment publishers
- ICF recognised coaching qualification (desirable)
- Proven success in leading business development activities and client relationship management. ▪ Demonstrated project leadership and management of complex and enterprise solutions.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- 15+ years of experience in the talent management or HR consultancy industry
