The Opportunity
Altus Group is currently looking for a manager to join our Singapore office in our Valuation AdvisoryServices, APAC business. The successful candidate will manage a team of 7#based in Singapore. The Manager will be responsible for managing the dailyworkflow through interaction with clients, subordinates and supervisors.Responsibility includes the quarterly valuation process of institutional realestate funds, which includes managing all aspects of the valuation managementprocess & real estate investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
. Manage a team and the deliveryof projects/engagements to the highest quality of service and technicalexcellence.
. Conducting reviews of externalthird party commercial real estate valuations across APAC.
. Reviewing market data andapplying judgement to determine reasonableness of valuations assumptions usedin deriving a Market Value opinion.
. Analysing and reviewing ARGUS,FORBURY and/or MS-Excel based valuations models for accuracy andreasonableness.
. Review work by junior staffbefore it is sent to clients or third parties.
. Provide daily supervision,direction, coaching and mentoring to junior staff.
. Discuss and resolve anyconcerns with clients and third-party appraisers.
. Manage client communicationsthroughout the valuation management engagement. Create and review portfolio metric presentations.
. Advise new clients on settingup the valuation management process.
. Set procedures for training ofclients and third parties as and when required.
. Develops relationships withclients and other industry participants.
. Is accessible and responsive toclient needs.
Position Requirements
The preferred candidate will possess thefollowing skills and attributes:
. University degree in realestate, finance, or related field is required.
. Fully qualified, MRICS orequivalent professional qualification.
. Fully versed in IVS/RICS Global(Red Book) Valuation Standards.
. 8+ years commercial real estatevaluation experience, with any current or prior exposure in a valuation firm(e.g. CBRE, JLL, C&W, Knight Frank, Savills) being a plus.
. Expertise with financialmodelling skills for commercial property type in ARGUS Enterprise, FORBURY andMS-Excel.
. Strong communication skills.
. Strong project managementskills: setting team/client deliverable goals, managing deadlines, creatingplans and evaluating results, communicating at-risk tasks
. Experience with clientdeliverable life cycle and proven record of successful management of clientdeliverables.
. High attention to detail.
. High level of integrity andintellectual curiosity.
. Languages: Fluency in Englishwith any other additional Asian languages being an advantage.
