Role Overview:
The Manager will oversee the end-to-end installation and commissioning of automation system in semiconductor fabrication facilities. This role combines technical project management with commercial responsibilities, including preparing pricing proposals during the tender stage, negotiating with clients, and ensuring profitability while delivering high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets all client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management
- Lead the planning, scheduling, execution, resource allocation and handover of factory automation installation projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cleanroom protocol, semi standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals (if required), quality and compliance records.
2. Commercial Responsibilities
- Understand client requirements, tailor solutions, prepare and submit competitive pricing proposals during the tender stage.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to ensure favorable terms and profitability.
- Monitor project costs and ensure the project stays within budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify lessons learned from each project and implement process improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in semiconductor fab automation.
- Proven experience in preparing pricing proposals and managing commercial aspects of projects.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fab operations and processes.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of automation systems (OHTs, stockers, conveyors, etc.).
- Familiarity with automation software, control systems, and MES integration.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Familiarity with leading AMHS brands such as Daifuku, Murata, and others
