About The Office For Space Technology & Industry

The Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) is Singapores national space office. To build up Singapores space ecosystem and advance Singapores space interests, OSTIn seeks to:

Nurture the build-up of local space technology capabilities through investments in R&D;

  • Grow a globally competitive local space industry;
  • Develop policies and regulations to support Singapores space activities;
  • Expand bilateral and multilateral partnerships, and contribute to strengthening the international governance regime for space activities; and
  • Support the development of talent for Singapores space sector and future workforce.

[What you will be working on]

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Driving Singapores national space strategy and developing supporting strategies to align internal and external stakeholders in pursuing space strategy deliverables.
  • Conducting studies on global space developments and key space-related topics of interest to guide national space priorities and long-term planning.
  • Convening interagency working groups to update and seek input on space issues with relevant agencies.
  • Developing strategy and policy briefs to OSTIn and whole-of-government principals to apprise them on the direction and implications of current/future strategy and policies.
  • Managing corporate planning functions in alignment with strategy implementation, including finance budgeting, resource planning, and performance reporting.
  • Performing secretariat functions at OSTIn Board/EXCO and management meetings.

[What we are looking for]

To meet the challenges of this role, you must have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in strategy, research, or corporate planning
  • A strong interest and passion in space technologies and their impact
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesise complex information and translate it into actionable strategic insights
  • Confident in public speaking and able to facilitate discussions with stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, and experience working with diverse stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, have excellent work ethic and a team player
  • Background in STEM is advantageous
  • Singaporean
