Job Description
The Manager of Strategic Planning is responsible for researching market and advanced technology development trends in the Asia region and formulating development strategies for the region.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Technology Research & Strategic Recommendations
- Investigate and analyse market and technology trends in Asia.
- Compile strategic recommendations for development to headquarter which include conducting literature reviews and discussions with experts in AI, Robotics, Manufacturing, and Sustainability.
Ecosystem Research & Evaluation
- Research the R&D ecosystem in Southeast Asia, focusing on Singapore.
- Evaluate the ecosystem's usefulness for the company's technology development strategy via practical research projects.
Planning & Execution of Research Projects
- Plan and execute research projects to assess the Southeast Asia R&D ecosystem.
- Collaborate with headquarter to plan and implement projects whilst considering the technological challenges and development needs.
- Involve in administrative tasks such as negotiations and contract management with external organizations.
Required skills:
- Advanced research and analytical skills in technology and market trends.
- Familiarity with AI, robotics, manufacturing, and sustainability topics.
- Proficiency in general office tasks using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to develop AI solutions using Python.
- Strong information gathering, report writing and documentation abilities.
- Project planning and execution, including contract management.
- Fluent in both communication and written Japanese for negotiations and coordination with Japan HQ.
