About the team

Our APAC Commercial team drives revenue and long-term merchant value across the Greater China Region, Southeast Asia, and India. We focus on enterprise and Shopify Plus growth, partnering closely with Solutions Engineering, Payments, Product, and Partnerships to win complex, multi-stakeholder deals. We prize merchant obsession, disciplined execution, and predictable, repeatable growth across some of Shopify's fastest-moving markets.

Role Overview

Your role will own regional revenue outcomes for GCR, SEA, and India with a primary focus on Enterprise and Shopify Plus. This is a player‑coach role without direct reports. You'll lead from the front on high‑impact deals, shape region‑specific go‑to‑market motions, build and progress pipeline with large merchants and groups, and influence a matrix of IC sellers and cross‑functional partners to close complex opportunities. You will serve as the region's voice into global sales and product leadership, ensuring our strategy, execution, and roadmap reflect the needs of these markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Own regional revenue targets across GCR, SEA, and India, with emphasis on Enterprise/Plus.
  • Lead from the front on priority enterprise and Plus opportunities, including executive‑level selling and negotiation.
  • Define and execute region‑specific GTM plays aligned to global priorities, grounded in market reality.
  • Build and advance the pipeline with large merchants, regional groups, and high‑growth brands.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering, Payments, Product, and Partnerships to navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder deals.
  • Drive forecast accuracy, pipeline hygiene, stage discipline, and win‑loss learning across the region.
  • Act as the regional voice into global sales and product leadership to influence roadmap and resourcing.
  • Cultivate senior merchant relationships that drive long‑term value and expansion. . Enable and coach IC sellers through influence (no direct reports), raising deal quality and standards.

What success looks like

  • Consistent attainment of regional targets.
  • Strong IC productivity and quota attainment through influence and enablement.

Required experience

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS sales with a strong enterprise track record across APAC, particularly China.
  • Proven success closing complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise deals.
  • Deep understanding of commerce, platforms, or payments.
  • Strong operational discipline (forecasting, deal reviews, pipeline management). . Market experience across GCR, SEA, and/or India.
  • Full professional proficiency in Mandarin and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority in a matrix environment player‑coach orientation.

Preferred

  • Shopify or commerce platform experience.
  • Success in ambiguous, scaling environments.

Reports to and works with

The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Director and work closely with APAC Commercial leadership, Solutions Engineering, Payments, Product, Partnerships, and a matrix of IC sellers across GCR, SEA, and India.
