This role sits in NVPC's Corporate and Industry Partnerships (CIP) department, which drives the Company of Good initiative - a national platform that supports and recognises companies in Singapore to integrate purpose and social impact into their core business strategies.
Today, Company of Good (COG) brings together a growing community of over 3,000 organisations, helping businesses translate purpose into action across five key impact areas: People, Society, Governance, Environment, and Economic.
As the anchor for this work, NVPC's CIP department plays a pivotal role in growing, shaping and strengthening Singapore's corporate purpose ecosystem - catalysing partnerships and collective impact towards a stronger, more inclusive Singapore.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will focus on driving and implementing national-level interventions to create value and building partnerships within the corporate ecosystem to strengthen the industry for corporates to drive purpose and do good.
The candidate should have a deep interest in harvesting, harmonising and developing knowledge in the sector (especially on Corporate Purpose, Corporate Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, ESG, Corporate Community Investment, etc.) and translating it into strategy, and programmes for ecosystem level applications.
The candidate should have an appreciation of the roles, dynamics and interactions amongst different stakeholders in an ecosystem and be well-versed in acquiring and maintaining multi-lateral relationships with partners. The candidate should also possess excellent stakeholder management skills so as to align complex and potentially competing interests, aspirations and actions in the sector.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategy & Ecosystem Development
Lead the development of COG strategies and ecosystem-building efforts, cultivating partnerships across corporate, government, and trade association and chambers stakeholders to create value for the Company of Good community. - National Platforms & Programmes
Drive engagements and manage projects with ecosystem partners to establish or enhance national-level platforms and programmes that help businesses advance their doing good agenda. - Government & Strategic Partnerships
Serve as liaison with strategic partners, including government agencies and the parent ministry, to align on strategy, workplans, budgets, and KPI reviews. - Recognition & Trustmark Development
Evolve the Company of Good Recognition System into a national trustmark, strengthening its role as a value creation and credibility tool for businesses. - Dialogues, Studies & Coalition Building
Support dialogues, research, and collaborative initiatives with stakeholders (including similar national set-ups) to co-create a shared understanding and aspiration for Corporate Purpose in Singapore. - Cross-Team Integration
Contribute to integration and synergy across the Corporate and Industry Partnerships team, ensuring alignment between Corporate Engagement Partnerships, and Impact & Development functions.
Key Deliverables
As part of a high-impact team, you will shape and advance strategic ecosystem-level initiatives, including:
- Elevating and strengthening the value proposition of the COG Recognition to position it as a leading benchmark for corporate purpose and impact
- Mobilising industry-level partnerships to scale the reach and influence of Company of Good
- Designing and delivering cross-industry and sector-specific capability initiatives to equip SMEs with practical tools, knowledge and mentorship from leading companies
- Convening bi-annual discussions with senior business leaders to surface insights, align priorities and catalyse collective action
- Developing industry-level pathways to support companies in embarking on and/or progressing through their Corporate Purpose journeys
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field including Business Administration or Management/Public Policy/Social Science
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industry and/or market development
- Experience in developing and/or implementing policies or interventions at the national level and/or equivalent
- Experience in overseeing and leading business-related programmes
- Experience in leading and/or guiding research projects
- Ability to engage in complexity thinking
- Strong events management skills
- Social media engagement skills
- Appreciation of platform strategies
