Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Corporate team, with a focus on the People function at Majurity. To do well in this role, one needs to be highly self-driven, structured, and able to operate independently in a lean and fast-growing environment.

The candidate should be comfortable owning key People processes end-to-end, particularly in compensation, contracts, and governance, while working closely with our CEO, Talent Development and Finance. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, professionalism, and the ability to engage and manage stakeholders across the organisation.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role covers the core of our People function, with a strong emphasis on compensation, budgeting, contract management, governance and learning and development (L&D). You will lead processes such as salary benchmarking, increment and bonus cycles, and employment contract structuring, while ensuring compliance with local labour regulations. You will also partner closely with Finance on budget allocation and with Talent Development on performance outcomes and L&D opportunities.

The role requires a hands-on operator who can execute with precision, while also building structured and scalable People practices. You should be comfortable working independently and engaging a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation and Benefits

  • Design and maintain competitive and equitable pay structures through market benchmarking and internal analysis
  • Lead annual compensation cycles, including salary increments, promotions, and bonuses
  • Manage payroll processing
  • Maintain accurate employee data
  • Establish and uphold clear compensation frameworks and guidelines, aligned with statutory requirements

Organisation Architecture and Performance Management

  • Own and manage the organisation's performance appraisal process end-to-end and ensure goal setting is aligned with organisational priorities
  • Partner with department heads to address questions on goal setting and performance ratings
  • Work with our CEO and Senior Director of Corporate and Talent Development to drive consistency and calibration of ratings across the organisation, ensuring parity over final outcomes
  • Translate performance outcomes into fair and consistent compensation decisions
  • Support L&D initiatives across the organisation, in partnership with Talent Development

Budgeting and Workforce Planning

  • Partner with Finance to manage and allocate budgets across hiring, increments, and bonuses
  • Monitor and track budget utilisation to ensure alignment with organisational priorities
  • Support workforce planning and organisational structure discussions

Policy and Decision Frameworks

  • Develop and maintain clear People policies, standard operating procedures and frameworks to guide decision-making across the organisation to ensure they are practical, scalable and aligned with organisational goals
  • Establish and refine compensation philosophy, promotion criteria and guidelines, bonus allocation principles
  • Reduce reliance on case-by-case decision-making by building consistent and transparent frameworks

HR Operations

  • Draft and manage employment contracts that are compliant with Singapore employment regulations
    Manage key People processes such as preparation of increment letters, promotion letters, and bonus documentation
    Build and refine People templates, workflows, and processes to improve efficiency and consistency
    Support employee lifecycle processes in collaboration with relevant team members

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted People partner to team leads and employees
  • Navigate and manage diverse perspectives with professionalism and clarity
  • Handle sensitive conversations with confidence and sound judgment
  • Provide structured recommendations and solutions to stakeholders

DESIRED QUALITIES AND SKILLS

We are looking for candidates with at least 4-6 years of HR experience and strong experience in compensation, HR operations, and contract management.

  • Analytical Thinking: Comfortable working with data, budgets,and able to balance market benchmarks and internal resourcing

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ownership & Initiative: Self-driven and able to operate independently and comfortable working in a lean team and navigating ambiguity

  • Professionalism: High level of discretion and integrity with the ability to handle sensitive matters in a calm, structured and professional manner
