About Industry Development Group

The key focus of the Industry Development Group (IDG) is developing a thriving sport and fitness ecosystem to boost Singapore to be the City for Sports and Fitness in Asia. We partner key stakeholders in achieving these sporting, social and economic outcomes. This involves developing market opportunities, new capabilities and enabling synergies through strategic partnerships and major sport, fitness, and relevant MICE events.

What you will be working on

As part of the Industry Development Group, you will be partnering key stakeholders to develop a thriving sport and fitness ecosystem to unlock sporting, social and economic outcomes. This involves developing connections, capabilities, and capacities through strategic public-private-people partnerships as well as major sporting events.

For this role, you will be part of the project management team that will –

• Manage the National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP) to professionalise the fitness industry and build capabilities through continuous education and code of ethics
• Manage the Enterprise Innovation and Capability Development Grant (Innogrant) to catalyse the development of growth engines within the sport and fitness ecosystem
• Manage the Major Sports Events Fund (MSEF) to develop a vibrant sporting calendar in Singapore.

Working with your team members, you will be involved in formulating strategies, implementing schemes and managing stakeholders in the sport and fitness ecosystem. There will be opportunities to be involved in other special projects.
