Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and strategic Manager / Senior Manager, Community Engagement to lead key initiatives in community outreach, donor relations, fundraising, volunteer management, and event planning. This role plays a critical part in enhancing our visibility, deepening relationships with stakeholders, and mobilising resources to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Donor Relations
- Develop and implement strategies to engage individuals, corporations, foundations, and family offices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners through effective stewardship.
- Drive donor acquisition, retention, and increase lifetime value.
- Oversee and optimise donor databases and CRM systems to enhance engagement and analytics.
Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation
- Plan and execute integrated fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, digital appeals, and corporate sponsorships.
- Lead the planning of fundraising events aligned with organisational goals and donor expectations.
- Develop annual fundraising strategies, reports, and performance reviews for leadership and board.
- Cultivate partnerships that boost the organisation's visibility and credibility.
PR & Communications
- Oversee the creation of marketing and communication materials across digital and traditional platforms.
- Manage media relations to elevate the organisation's brand and strengthen public relations.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints.
- Support internal communications to keep staff updated on organisational activities.
Event Planning & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conceptualise and execute donor appreciation events, community outreach programmes, and strategic engagement activities.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth and efficient event delivery.
- Measure event effectiveness and gather stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.
Volunteer Management
- Lead and oversee volunteer management strategies to engage and retain volunteers.
- Integrate volunteer and donor management systems for enhanced communication and resource mobilisation.
- Maintain central databases for efficient volunteer and donor recognition.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
- Promote synergy across community engagement, volunteer management, and fundraising teams.
Requirements
- A degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, fundraising, communications, stakeholder management, or related fields (e.g., non-profit, public sector, or corporate roles).
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, digital tools, and social media platforms.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and aligned with the organisation's mission and values.
- Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Senior Manager role.
