Our client, a leading Japanese IT consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Consultant to lead and support IT consulting projects for banking clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IT consulting engagements for clients in the banking industry.
- Drive the execution of IT strategies in alignment with banking IT division goals.
- Oversee full-cycle system development projects, including implementation of core banking systems.
- Define and implement IT processes and governance frameworks in accordance with industry best practices.
- Support IT investment planning and cost optimization initiatives.
- Design and enhance IT organizational structures to improve operational efficiency.
- Promote the adoption of automation tools to streamline IT operations.
Additional Responsibilities (Manager Level):
- Develop client proposals and manage contract negotiations to expand IT consulting business.
- Lead sales and business development efforts in the IT consulting domain.
- Build, manage, and mentor high-performing consulting teams.
Requirement & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT consulting, with a strong focus on project management and IT-related functions.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, including responsibilities in team management and business development or sales (required for Manager-level positions).
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese is required (minimum JLPT N1 or equivalent), to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in Japan and across the region.
- Strong sense of ownership, professionalism, and responsibility in delivering consulting solutions.
- Prior experience working in the IT department of a bank.
