As a Manager, Sales Engineering, you will lead a team of Sales Engineers supporting enterprise customers and driving technical success across the sales cycle. You'll focus on coaching and developing your team, ensuring high-quality execution in customer engagements, and partnering closely with Sales leadership to achieve business outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people management, operational excellence, technical oversight, and in field coaching to help your team deliver value to customers while scaling best practices across the organization.
What You'll Do:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers, driving performance, engagement, and long-term career growth through regular feedback and structured development
Partner confidently with Sales leadership on deal strategy, forecast alignment, and account planning ensuring strong technical execution across the pipeline
Be in the field with team members joining strategic customer onsites, co-leading champion building efforts, and modeling high-quality technical engagement
Oversee team execution of technical sales cycles, providing guidance on evaluations, customer engagements, and deal progression to improve win rates and consistency
Hire and onboard top talent, building a high-performing team and accelerating ramp through structured onboarding and enablement
Manage team operations, including resource allocation, utilization, productivity tracking, and skills development to ensure effective coverage

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support to ensure alignment across the customer journey
Drive operational excellence by improving processes, maintaining data quality, and contributing to initiatives that scale team effectiveness and business impact
Who You Are:
1+ years of experience leading or mentoring Sales Engineers or other technical, customer-facing roles
5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role
Proven ability to partner with Sales leadership on deal strategy, forecasting, and account planning as a strategic peer
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution across a team
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical, business, and executive stakeholders
Background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, observability
Demonstrated capability of utilizing AI tooling and scaling it
Growth mindset of embracing change and being curious
Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements
