Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with 58 years of experience in the construction industry to join our team. This role requires an individual capable of independently managing construction and development projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate with consultants, contractors, internal business units, and senior management to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards, while also ensuring alignment with maintenance, operational, and leasing requirements.
In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the Project Manager will support the headquarters team in digitalising project management workflows and processes, as well as assist in benchmarking Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) provisions offered to tenants, ensuring our projects remain competitive in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Lead and manage construction projects from planning and design through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate and manage the performance of external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to meet project objectives.
- Engage with internal stakeholders including Leasing, Asset Management, Facilities, Finance, and Senior Management to align project outcomes with business objectives.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, and proactively identify and manage risks, delays, or issues.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management.
Stakeholder & Consultant Management
- Manage tendering, appointment, and performance of consultants and contractors.
- Lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication of goals, progress, and expectations among all parties.
- Ensure project compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Process Improvement & Digitalisation
- Support headquarters initiatives in the digitalisation of project management workflows, reporting, and documentation systems.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on project experience.
Benchmarking on Landlord's Provisions
- Assist in reviewing and benchmarking provisions to tenants against market standards.
- Work closely with the Leasing and Asset Management teams to ensure building services and provisions remain competitive and aligned with tenant requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 58 years of relevant project management experience in the construction or property development industry.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in managing consultants, contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Good understanding of building systems, MEP services, and their relevance to leasing and operational needs.
- Familiarity with project management software and digital workflow tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Candidates with engineering background and hospitality experience preferred.
