Manager, prisma Platform Operations

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global partnership to make palm oil sustainable. Today, the RSPO is a global, non-profit organisation with over 6,000 voluntary members across 104 countries and territories, representing every link in the supply chain: oil palm producers, palm oil processors and traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and social or developmental NGOs.

The Manager, prisma Platform Operations is responsible for the operational integrity, stability, and continuous improvement of the RSPO prisma platform. The role provides dedicated managerial ownership of platform operations, vendor technical coordination, data integrity oversight, and environment management. The role works closely with IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations (under Business Solutions & Technology) on infrastructure-related matters

The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Platform Operations (Primary)

• Own day-to-day prisma platform operations, including incident management, defect triage, and resolution tracking across all modules.
• Serve as the primary RSPO-side technical liaison with appointed development and maintenance vendors, coordinating on defect resolution, release management, and integration issues.
• Oversee data integrity operations, including investigation and resolution of member-reported data discrepancies and platform anomalies.
• Manage prisma application environments (DEV/UAT/PROD) in coordination with IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations (BST) on infrastructure-level matters.
• Produce regular operational reports, platform health dashboards, and incident trend analysis for senior management.
• Develop and maintain operational SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation for platform operations and support processes.
• Coordinate with the prisma Helpdesk team on escalation pathways, ensuring clear L1/L2/L3 triage boundaries and efficient resolution of member-facing issues.
• Support the transition of support and maintenance responsibilities from the incumbent vendor to the newly appointed vendor, ensuring continuity of service.
• Identify and recommend platform improvements, automation opportunities, and process optimisations to reduce manual intervention

Project Support (As Required)

• Provide operational support during prisma development stages, including UAT coordination, test case management, and deployment verification, as directed by the Deputy Director, prisma Operations.
• Support technical requirements validation by reviewing vendor deliverables against approved specifications and flagging deviations.
• Contribute operational insights and platform knowledge to inform project planning, risk assessment, and go-live readiness.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

• Degree qualified in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Experience

• 7+ years in IT operations, platform management, or technical support, including at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity. Experience with web-based enterprise platforms and multi-vendor environments is preferred.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of web application architecture (React, Spring Boot, microservices) and database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred), including application environment management.
• Experience with defect tracking, incident management, and structured IT support processes.
• Understanding of data integrity principles, data validation techniques, and reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL or structured IT service management frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) is an advantage.
