Join us as the Manager People and Organization for the Asia-Pacific region.
In this role, you will act as a key link between the global headquarters in Germany and the APAC markets. You will ensure that HQ‑driven HR standards, processes, policies and culture are effectively transferred to the region, while adapting them thoughtfully to local market realities and regulatory environments.
You will shape the HR agenda across multiple APAC markets, partner closely with senior leadership, and ensure an outstanding employee experience aligned with our global HR standards.
Your core responsibilities include:
Strategic HR
- Serve as a strategic advisor and sparring partner to the APAC Territory Management and local Managing Directors.
- Translate and operationalize HQ HR strategies, frameworks, and cultural principles into the APAC context, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Drive the implementation of HQ‑defined initiatives across APAC and ensure that adaptations for local markets remain compliant and consistent with corporate standards.
- Maintain strong collaboration with HQ HR and HR leaders from other territories to ensure harmonization, knowledge exchange, and best‑practice alignment.
HR Governance& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all HQ policies, corporate governance requirements, and HR‑relevant laws across APAC.
- Support the rollout of new HQ policies, guidelines, and processes by translating them into region-specific procedures and training materials.
- Train managers and local HR teams across APAC on compliance, employment law, labor relations, and HR processes.
People & Organizational Development
- Guide APAC leaders through organizational design and capability development in line with HQ principles and global workforce strategies.
- Anticipate HR-related needs and trends within the region (e.g., talent availability, demographic dynamics, market changes).
- Ensure consistent and HQ-aligned execution of Employee Lifecycle processes-while enabling necessary localization for APAC markets.
Operational HR Excellence
- Ensure effective execution of all operational HR processes in APAC in collaboration with local HR teams and global Centers of Expertise (Talent Acquisition, People Strategy & Development, HRIS).
- Lead recruitment and selection for key roles across APAC, including competency-based interviews and contract negotiations aligned with local market standards.
- Oversee accurate payroll operations and compensation processes across APAC markets, including data maintenance, benefits management, and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor and optimize working time management systems, ensuring compliance with local APAC labor regulations.
HR Analytics, Reporting & Projects
- Produce regular APAC HR reports and analytics in cooperation with HR Controlling/HRIS.
- Lead or participate in APAC or global HR projects aligned with the HR project roadmap, ensuring that outcomes align with HQ expectations.
- Develop proposals to improve HR efficiency, harmonize processes across the region, and enhance the APAC employee experience.
Requirements
. Degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
. Extensive HR experience, ideally in multinational environments and across multiple APAC countries.
. Ideally expertise in APAC labor law landscapes and regulatory requirements.
. High level of intercultural competence and ability to collaborate in a global matrix organization.
. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
. Proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented approach with focus on continuous improvement.
. Willingness to travel throughout the APAC region and occasionally to HQ.
. Fluent in English German and additional Asian language skills (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
