One of the world's leading consulting firms is seeking a Manager - Operations, Industry & Domain Solutions to support Japanese financial institutions in their digital transformation and regional expansion across Southeast Asia. With the region emerging as a major economic hub of nearly 700 million people, this role provides the opportunity to lead impactful projects in banking, insurance, and securities.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams of local and Japanese professionals, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Manage digital transformation initiatives for financial institutions, covering system implementation, data management, and process digitalization.
- Oversee process improvement, PMO functions, and implementation support activities.
- Contribute to business development through proposal preparation and strong client relationship management.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration and maintaining high-quality project outcomes.
- Identify market trends and recommend innovative solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally in Finance, Economics, or Banking.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing or leading projects with mixed local and Japanese teams.
- Background in consulting or system integration, preferably serving financial-sector clients.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, PMO functions, or implementation support.
- Proven track record in proposal preparation and business development.
- Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1) in speaking, listening, and writing, to liaise effectively with Japanese clients.
(Advantageous)
- Experience in regional consulting projects across Southeast Asia.
- Knowledge of banking operations, including core and peripheral banking systems.
- Familiarity with insurance operations, covering both life and non-life sectors.
- Understanding of securities operations, including front-to-back office processes.
