Manager, Operating Theatre Ops

Brief Summary

We are seeking a talented Manager to enhance operational efficiency within the operating theatre by leveraging strong analytical and coordination skills, driving process improvements, and ensuring optimal resource utilization.

Responsibilities

• Support the Deputy Director in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of operating theatre resources. Facilitate multi-stakeholder discussions and planning sessions to enhance theatre utilization, case flow, and operational excellence. Maintain and analyze operational dashboards, translating insights into actionable workplans and timely issue escalation. Assist in optimizing inventory management by reviewing SKU and par levels, and improving operational procedures within the operating theatre. Coordinate and track major operational development initiatives, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders for effective submissions and project milestones. Conduct process reviews and value-stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and facilitate improvements to operating theatre workflows. Advocate for the adoption of relevant technologies to enhance patient care and operational productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with a preference for candidates with expertise in healthcare operations, process improvement, data analytics, or project management. Minimum of 10 years of experience in surgical services or operating theatre operations. Strong analytical skills, with experience in performance tracking and dashboard reporting. Familiarity with process review, inventory governance, and project coordination is advantageous. Exceptional organisational and coordination skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Proactive, service-oriented approach with a commitment to quality improvement. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, focused on system-level thinking and innovation.
