Reporting to Vice President, OEM Strategy & Procurement (Specification & Buyer Furnished Equipment), the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Aircraft Programmes
- Working with airline customers and airframe Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to implement specifications on aircraft.
- Liaising with the relevant airframe manufacturers to ensure product is manufactured to the required specification and quality standards and is delivered on time and within budget.
- Supporting aircraft placement campaigns with internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the marketing team on specification and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) matters during letter of intent and lease negotiations.
Aircraft Pricing Matters
- Providing pricing inputs for aircraft specification and BFE.
- Evaluating airline customers specification and providing support for pricing and specification checks.
BFE Supply Management
- Developing a sustainable buying strategy for BFE engagement that is aligned with Companys goals.
- Developing a network within the BFE suppliers to position the Company as a top-tier leasing company.
- Leading pricing negotiations with BFE suppliers to ensure best possible outcomes in line with the Company buying strategy.
- Regularly sharing market insights, market intelligence and trends with key stakeholders across all business functions.
Market Trending analysis
- Engagement with airframe OEM and BFE suppliers to establish latest market trends for aircraft systems and cabin products.
- Monitoring airworthiness mandates for regular reporting and implementation.
Ad hoc requests//Special Projects
- Ad hoc business projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or a licensed aircraft engineer or equivalent experience.
- Minimum seven years of relevant experience in Technical Services, Procurement, Aircraft Project role or in a similar capacity with an airline, aircraft lessor and OEM.
- Candidates with experience in aircraft configuration, specification pricing, BFE contracts management and project management will be highly considered.
- Demonstrate good knowledge and competency in various civil aviation jurisdiction and airworthiness requirements (EASA/FAA/CAAC/etc.).
- Familiarity with the latest aircraft/engines/system/cabin product trends and the Companys current and future aircraft portfolio will be an added advantage.
- Ad-hoc travelling will be required.
- Able to think strategically, highly analytical with strong commercial acumen and skills.
- Superior attention to detail with the ability to evaluate, navigate and manage BFE contracts.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence stakeholders of all levels.
- Highly driven with a strong commitment to deliver quality work.
- Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced working environment.
