Lead and provide secretariat governance for Medical Board/CMB‑appointed clinical committees and workgroups ensure agendas, papers, minutes and follow‑ups are of publishable quality.
Plan, design and oversee quality assurance programmes, clinical audits and performance improvement initiatives (e.g., RCA, PDSA, Lean/Six Sigma toolsets).
Provide institutional oversight of incident management, including triage standards, case review governance, RCA quality, and close‑out of corrective actions.
Coordinate regulatory and accreditation readiness (HCSA/MOH, JCI) lead surveys and enterprise risk management/clinical risk management.
Direct the development of dashboards, indicators and analytics for clinical outcomes and safety assure data integrity and insights for decision‑making.
Chair/lead project workstreams and cross‑functional taskforces for priority risks (e.g., medication safety, falls, sedation safety, device/laser/radiation safety, etc.).
Develop and deliver education and capability‑building for quality, patient safety and risk management, including faculty/assessor responsibilities for QI projects.
Represent the institution at NUHS cluster and MOH committees/workgroups consolidate positions, prepare briefs and ensure timely submissions.
Manage Medical Affairs Office governance operations (e.g., policy updates, clinical risk registers, budget/funds tracking) and optimise processes.
Coach and supervise junior staff role‑model professional standards and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by Head of Medical Affairs.
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare Administration/Management, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing or Allied Health disciplines.
Proven track record in clinical governance, healthcare quality, patient safety or risk management, with outstanding management abilities and demonstrated leadership.
Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience (including minimum 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role) in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Strong acumen with in‑depth understanding of clinical governance frameworks, HCSA/MOH regulatory requirements, and international standards (e.g., JCI, ISO).
Able to drive quality/patient safety strategy, design, implementation and evaluation across departments and programmes.
Project and programme management capabilities with experience leading cross‑functional teams and complex institutional workstreams.
Possesses confidence and credibility to resonate with senior management and clinical leadership - internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to multi‑task and work under tight timelines resilient and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
Good analytical and organisational skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and propose actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills able to produce high‑quality committee papers and reports.
