Purpose and Scope
- Assist Project Manager in managing the M&E staff and subcontractors for a better coordination between subcontractors and between different trades and disciplines.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day running of all matters relating to the construction of this project with the assistance of M&E staffs, mainly on mechanical & electrical works.
- Attend principal meetings and any other meetings with the Clients, Consultants and external parties.
- Review and discuss construction method and choice of material with Project Manager, Consultants and specialist works-contractors and finalize the most appropriate practical, productive and safe construction method in advance of works for compliance to statutory requirements.
- Liaison with external parties such as clients, client representatives and authorities, etc. and generation of official correspondence, as appropriate
- Co-ordinate the works carried out by his/her M&E Engineer and M&E Coordinators.
- Adhere to all relevant legal requirements in his/her performance of work duties in the project.
- Ensure all internal and external work parties under his/her charge perform their work in accordance to relevant legal requirements
- Comply and adhere with the HSSEQ Management System and implement all relevant requirements stated in the HSSEQ management system.
- Undertake the appointment as member of the project's HSSE Committee.
- Appoint as approving officer for Permit-to-work for mechanical & electrical works.
- Review all relevant risks assessment and safe work procedures relating to mechanical & electrical works.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- A recognized Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the construction industry
- Candidate should carry a proactive attitude
- Due to the sensitive job nature, only Singaporean will be considered
