About The Role
Apical is seeking a commercially driven Marketing Trader to execute sales and marketing strategies across assigned markets and products. The role focuses on:
- Driving volumes and margins
- Managing key customer relationships
- Identifying growth opportunities
- Providing market intelligence to support trading decisions
- Exposure to risk management concepts is a plus
What You Will Do
- Execute trading and marketing strategies to meet volume, margin, and growth targets
- Build and grow relationships with customers, distributors, and partners
- Identify new commercial opportunities and negotiate pricing and contract terms
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supplydemand dynamics
- Collaborate with HQ, production, logistics, and marketing teams on go-to-market plans
- Provide timely market insights to support commercial decision-making
- (Good to have) Apply basic risk management concepts such as exposure, hedging, and counterparty assessment
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 810 years experience in commodities trading/marketing, ideally palm or agri-commodities
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
- Familiarity with palm markets preferred; risk management exposure is an advantage
