Manager, Logistics & Warehousing

What will you do

Warehouse & Logistics Operations Management

• Manage warehousing, staging, delivery, and shipping functions and teams
• Organize and manage all logistics and administrative activities for smooth departmental operations
• Ensure maintenance of operating equipment including engraver, reach truck, and CCTV systems
• Plan and conduct internal stock counts; assist Finance with annual stock audit in March
• Work with Project Finance on non-stock inventory management and generate mid and month-end balance reports
• Oversee selected services for Bedok Office (e.g., copier and drinking water supplies) in coordination with Corporate Admin

Process Improvement & Digital Innovation

• Review and assess existing processes, systems, and workflows so as to drive innovation initiatives to modernize warehouse operations and adopt best practices
• Leverage technology solutions including micro tools, automation, and AI-powered tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Design, build, or implement digital tools and solutions to streamline warehouse operations
• Review and revise processes and procedures regularly for workflow optimization and continuous improvement
• Ensure quotes and comparisons for logistics machinery and equipment comply with company policy
• Process Statements of Work (SOW) for warehousing, staging, delivery, and shipping outsourcing
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures across all warehouse operations

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Teams, Purchaser, Finance, and DSO teams on additional requests (space, new plant, storage locations, etc.)
• Foster teamwork to meet requirements of internal customers (project teams)
• Process Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for delivery services for internal customers
• Process Goods Receipt Slips (GRS) for Singtel Projects delivered to Bedok warehouse
• Coordinate Security Clearance requirements for client projects

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse team members
• Manage staff performance with regular reviews and feedback sessions
• Handle staff recruitment and workforce planning
• Serve as Time-Log administrator: create and review tasks assigned to team members
• Request and update SAP Financial System access for team members
• Update Corporate Admin on personnel processing Goods Receipts (GRs) for insurance purposes
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team

Financial Management & Approvals

• Approve all invoices for local deliveries and freight charges for both NCS and Singtel
• Assist in preparing and managing the Logistics budget
• Monitor costs and drive optimization initiatives

Shipping & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage IMDA license renewals
• Request changes for freight forwarders via customs
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Leadership

• Serve as appointed Floor In-charge for EHS
• Review, update, and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) safety requirements including Risk Assessments
• Support NCS Safety Officer with updates, audits, and activities related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification
• Conduct monthly Toolbox meetings to ensure team members are well-aware of work safety requirements
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Business Continuity & Crisis Management

• Coordinate Business Continuity Plan and pandemic response measures as required
• Develop and maintain contingency plans for operational resilience
  
  

The ideal candidate should:

• Have Diploma or Degree in Supply Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse and logistics management experience.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and IMDA licensing requirements.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and SAP Financial System.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify process inefficiencies and design solutions.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with SAP / Warehousing / Inventory / Delivery / Shipping knowledge.
