Are you a visionary IT leader passionate about shaping enterprise architecture and driving innovation As the Manager - IT Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of our organization's digital transformation. In this senior role, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions and integrated digital ecosystems that power our next-generation operations. You'll combine deep full-stack technical expertise with strategic thinking to create a secure, cloud-ready architecture supporting advanced technologies-from IoT devices and smart robotics to cloud platforms and data analytics. This is a unique opportunity to influence technology strategy, drive innovation, and build a scalable infrastructure that will transform how we deliver value across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture Leadership: Develop and maintain the company's overarching IT architecture strategy for mission-critical operations (with a focus on logistics and supply chain systems). Align technology roadmaps with business goals and data strategies, ensuring that IT, operational technology (OT), and automation systems work together seamlessly in a robust, hybrid-cloud environment.
- Innovative Solution Design & Integration: Lead the end-to-end design of high-impact digital solutions. Integrate advanced automation and smart technologies (IoT sensors, RFID, computer vision, AGVs/AMRs, robotics, smart lockers) with core enterprise systems (e.g., WMS, ERP, SAP) to create intelligent, automated warehouses and optimized last-mile delivery networks. Ensure secure IT/OT network segmentation for safe, reliable remote monitoring and control of industrial systems.
- Full-Stack Development Oversight: Oversee the development of modern enterprise applications-from real-time dashboards and asset-tracking tools to workflow management systems. Guide teams in using contemporary tech stacks (e.g., React/Angular for front-end, Node.js, .NET, Python, or Java/Spring for back-end) and enforcing best practices in coding, API design (REST/GraphQL), and system integration. Manage CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) to enable efficient, continuous delivery of high-quality software.
- Digital Architecture & Governance: Design and implement scalable, secure system architectures leveraging cloud services (Azure or AWS) and integration platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, API management tools) for seamless interoperability. Establish robust IT/OT governance frameworks and uphold cybersecurity and compliance standards (such as ISO 27001, SOC2) to protect data and infrastructure. Continuously evaluate and incorporate new technologies that can strengthen the IT architecture and meet evolving business needs.
- Data-Driven Insights: Architect data pipelines and event-driven architectures to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. Enable real-time data collection and interactive dashboards (using tools like Azure Synapse, Power BI, or similar) that provide actionable insights into key performance metrics (e.g., warehouse throughput, fleet utilization, automation system uptime). Champion data quality, consistency, and governance across all systems to ensure that decision-makers have reliable, timely information.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as a technology thought leader and mentor within the IT organization. Lead architecture review boards, pilot projects (PoCs), and vendor evaluations for emerging technologies (e.g., robotics, IoT platforms, AI solutions). Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, security, and executive teams to ensure technology solutions meet both technical and business objectives. Inspire and guide a team of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 7-10 years of experience in IT architecture and software development, including a proven track record of designing and integrating complex enterprise systems. Experience in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing industries is highly valued.
- Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in enterprise system integration and architecture design. Hands-on proficiency with modern programming frameworks and languages (e.g., .NET Core, Node.js, Java/Spring, Python, plus front-end frameworks like React or Angular). Extensive experience building and integrating APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) across systems such as WMS, ERP (e.g., SAP), OMS, and various IoT/automation platforms.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS) and designing scalable cloud-native architectures. Proficiency in using containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment. Solid understanding of network architecture and security, including API security best practices and techniques for segregating IT and OT networks.
- Automation & OT Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse automation and operational technology. Knowledge of industrial automation systems and protocols (e.g., PLCs, WES/WCS, Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA) and experience integrating robotics or IoT devices with enterprise IT systems. Understanding of smart warehouse solutions and IoT-driven process automation.
- Data & Analytics: Experience in building data architectures to enable business intelligence and analytics. Proficient with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and capable of designing data pipelines or leveraging data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse) to derive insights that inform decision-making.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven leadership and people management abilities with experience leading technical teams or projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and build trust with stakeholders at all levels. Innovative mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date on emerging technologies. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach that encourages teamwork and knowledge-sharing.
Preferred/Good to have Qualifications
- Advanced Education: A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MSc in Computer Science, MBA in Technology Management) is an advantage.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, The Open Group TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or CISSP (or similar) are highly valued.
- Project Management: Certification or experience in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum Master) is beneficial for overseeing complex initiatives.
- Industry Exposure: Prior experience working in logistics, supply chain, or industrial automation environments is a plus, as is familiarity with smart warehouse technologies and processes.
