Why This Role Matters

Innovation and continuous improvement are critical to enabling a next‑generation hospital to deliver higher value care, improved patient outcomes, and sustainable operations. The Manager, Innovation and Improvement Office plays a central rolein driving and enabling hospital‑wide improvement, innovation, and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

In this role, youwill work closely with clinical, operational, and corporate leaders to translate ideas into structured improvement programmes, build organisational capability, and support pilots, innovation partnerships, and transformation efforts. You will help shape improvement culture, strengthen execution discipline, and ensure that innovation efforts lead to measurable and meaningful outcomes across the hospital.

What You Will Drive

1. Improvement Facilitation & Programme Management

. Lead and facilitate hospital‑level improvement initiatives, including structuredworkshops and capability‑building sessions (e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Lean‑based improvement methodologies).

. Guide clinical and operational teams in translating improvement ideas into structured initiatives with clear problem statements, success measures, and timelines.

. Oversee and manage an assigned portfolio of improvement initiatives, tracking progress,outcomes, and benefits across defined review cycles (e.g. 3, 6, 9, and 12months).

. Provide hands‑on support, coaching, and guidance to project leads to strengthen execution and delivery of improvement initiatives.

2. Internal Partnerships & Capability Building

. Partner closely with internal stakeholders across clinical, operational, administrative, and support services to strengthen improvement capability andadoption.

. Support the development, coordination, and sustainability of an Improvement Champion Network across departments.

. Contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous refinement of improvement capability programmes (e.g. Lean programmes, quality improvement training) in collaboration with central functions such as the Quality, Risk and Safety Office.

. Lead hospital‑wide improvement and culture‑building initiatives, including Quality & Value festivals, learning forums, and masterclasses.

. Support internal communication and engagement strategies that promote a culture ofinnovation and continuous improvement.

3. External Partnerships & Innovation Enablement

. Supportand manage working relationships with external partners (e.g. CHI and othercollaborators) relevant to improvement and innovation initiatives.

. Assistin the management of improvement‑related grants and funding, includingutilisation tracking, reporting requirements, and coordination with internalstakeholders.

. Enable living‑lab and prototyping opportunities, working with departments tooperationalise pilots and trials within clinical or operational settings.

4. Recognition,Benchmarking & Reporting

. Lead coordination of external benchmarking, recognition, and award submissions,including international rankings and performance exercises.

. Coordinatethe collation of data, documentation, and visual materials across departments,ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

. Preparereports, dashboards, summaries, and briefing materials for senior management,committees, and leadership forums as required.

What You Bring

Education &Experience

. Degree in any discipline, preferably in Business Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

. 5-8years of relevant working experience, preferably within healthcare, publicsector, or large complex organisations.

. Clinicaloperations experience is preferred.

. Proven experience supporting or leading cross‑functional improvement, transformation,or innovation initiatives.

. Experience working with clinicians, operational leaders, and corporate stakeholders.

. Exposure to programme management, grant management, or external partnerships is advantageous.

. Experiencein preparing reports, dashboards, or submissions for senior management orexternal bodies.

. Strong facilitation and engagement skills, with the ability to lead workshops andcomplex improvement conversations across diverse stakeholders.

. Analytical and structured thinker, able to break down complex problems, interpret data,and apply improvement methodologies.

. Stakeholder‑savvy, comfortable influencing across domains without formal authority.

. Organisedand detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and timelines concurrently.

. Clear, confident communicator able to engage effectively with senior leaders.
