Key Responsibilities
A Scaffolding Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of scaffolding operations on construction sites. Core duties include:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop scaffolding plans, allocate tasks to scaffolders, and schedule installation and dismantling to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Team Management: Supervise scaffold teams and subcontractors, provide training, and ensure productivity and safety compliance.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure adherence to health, safety, and construction regulations.
- Technical Oversight: Read and interpret scaffolding drawings, specifications, and method statements oversee erection and dismantling procedures for various scaffolding systems, including tube & fitting and system scaffolds.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, inventory, and project progress produce handover certificates and safety documentation.
- Client and Site Liaison: Communicate with site managers, clients, and other contractors to address project needs and ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation and risk management.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Competence in using scaffolding design software or digital inspection tools is advantageous.
- ITE COC Level1 and Level2 independent tester cert.
