Job Overview:
The Manager oversees daily service operations, ensuring clients receive compassionate, high-quality care. This role involves working with a team of care providers, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining positive relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals. The Manager also plans, coordinates, and delivers care services that meet client needs while upholding organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the budget for home care services, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and controlling costs.
- Track and manage billing and payments for services rendered.
- Ensure timely submission to Finance Department and update in Medisave portal.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs without compromising care quality.
Client Care & Service Delivery:
- Ensure care plans are followed and services are delivered.
- Work with clinical teams to address any client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction and improve service delivery.
Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure that all home care services are in compliance with regulations, including licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records and ensure timely response to patient referrals.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor compliance with healthcare standards and quality assurance protocols.
Coordination:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Oversee the recruitment & training of home care administrative staff.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of care delivery.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and the effective scheduling of care providers to meet client needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the home care team.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Assist with the development of marketing strategies to attract new clients and expand services.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, such as hospitals, doctors offices, and community organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work or related field.
- Proven experience in home care management or healthcare service delivery, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of the intermediate and long-term care sector, information systems, subvention & use of Medisave.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide and develop a team.
- Ability to manage budgets, billing and financial aspects of home care operations.

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software (SAP Community Hospital Common System) is preferred.
- Proficiency in use of and Microsoft Excel (at least intermediate level).
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
