Brief Description
Position Summary:
The Manager of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality reports to the existing HSEQ Manager with the HSEQ Department aligned under the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This position contributes toward the implementation of Resolves overall HSEQ strategy, consistent with the Companys mission, strategy, and core values.
Position Responsibilities
- Travel to U.S. and international facilities and job sites, as needed, to promote HSEQ objectives and work alongside internal customers to understand business needs.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and manage the document control process within the Companys Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Support implementation of overall HSEQ Plan subject to management approval, including an audit schedule aimed at improving performance across the company.
- Drive the development of policies, procedures, controls, and metrics related to HSEQ.
- Support effective training of Company personnel regarding HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Support the Vessel Technical Superintendents and Vessel Operators on day-to-day matters to ensure the uninterrupted safe & secure operation of the vessel.
- Support the preparation of project site safety plans, facility safety plans, and internal company HSEQ department reports.
- Assist with incident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and the close out of non-conformities and other audit findings.
- Review, monitor, analyze and report HSEQ metrics, objectives, and targets for business improvement.
- Drive HSEQ culture through collaborative relationships with employees across all levels and business functions.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements
Position Requirements:
- BS in Engineering, Marine related degree, Quality, or related field.
- 10 years relative experience in ISO certified management systems and HSE programs in an industrial or maritime environment.
- Salvage and Maritime Operations Preferred
- Proven track record developing, implementing, and leading health, safety, security, and environmental risk management.
- Proven track record developing, implementing, and leading quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of auditing, risk analysis, emergency response, incident command, incident investigation, injury case management, safe working practices, and heath, & safety regulations.
- Pragmatic approach with proven leadership skills in a collaborative environment within a growing business.
- Must be proactive and be able to anticipate issues rather than being reactive.
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and able to manage multifaceted project along with day to day responsibilities.
- Supports organizations priorities and balances business considerations.
- Demonstrated influencing skills and sound judgement supported by credibility and decisiveness.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
