Manager – Group Business Development and Growth
Established in 2021, MAS Amity is a unified customer facing trading entity and investment holding for the group based out of Singapore. It acts as single point of contact from a legal perspective to the customers, ensuring a seamless access to all of the group capabilities. The current functions of MAS Amity are Marketing, Design, Technology, Finance and Procurement and these are carried out to with the ethos of providing a unique value addition to the group.
Additionally, it also functions as an investment holding entity for some of the group's key manufacturing locations. Leveraging its strategic location and access to knowledge, key markets and unique resources it aims to become the beacon for the group to achieve the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage activities within the entire business development process to achieve set business objectives.
- Own and manage assigned customer accounts, driving execution excellence and business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across SBUs.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable plans to support successful execution.
- Drive onboarding for new customers within the region in line with the MAS growth strategy.
- Actively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities.
- Evaluate customer requirements and allocate business to the most suitable MAS unit based on capability, capacity, and strategic fit.
- Align internal stakeholders to ensure successful customer onboarding and execution.
- Manage the end‑to‑end development pipeline from concept to bulk production.
- Support seasonal and annual planning and contribute to portfolio and category growth strategies.
- Coordinate development, sourcing, planning, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely execution of critical path activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks to minimize delays and escalations.
- Ensure on‑time submissions, pricing, handovers, and bulk deliveries while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Support pricing and cost negotiations to optimize margins, cost efficiency, and capacity utilization.
- Lead assigned projects end‑to‑end, conduct project reviews, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensure effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand market trends and customer strategies to identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, group and company policies, and maintain documentation and reporting discipline.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A Singaporean citizen with fluency in Japanese- including speaking, reading and writing is mandatory
- 5-6 years of relevant work experience in business development or related areas.
- MBA, Degree, or Professional qualification in Marketing, Management, or Finance.
- Demonstrates curiosity and a strong drive for continuous learning
- Prior knowledge in account management and customer onboarding.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross‑functionally.
- Proven relationship‑building capability.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
