Our client is a well-established, globally recognized leader in international container shipping and maritime logistics. Headquartered in Singapore, the organization boasts an extensive network spanning global trade lanes. To support their commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth, they are seeking a high-caliber leader to spearhead global process optimization and performance management frameworks.

Role Overview

In this strategic role, you will design and execute the overarching framework for operational efficiency across our international network. You will serve as the driving force behind a culture of continuous improvement, identifying cost-saving opportunities, establishing robust performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to implement impactful, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Efficiency & Process Optimization

  • Architect and champion the global operational efficiency roadmap, embedding a mindset of continuous improvement across all international offices.
  • Evaluate cost structures, operational benchmarks, and variances to pinpoint areas of waste and design targeted remediation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to co-create actionable, scalable, and measurable initiatives that optimize resources and maximize bottom-line impact.
  • Encourage and facilitate pilot programs, experimental workflows, and innovative practices across regional offices.

Program Management & Governance

  • Maintain oversight of the global efficiency portfolio, delivering accurate and timely performance reporting to executive leadership.
  • Audit and validate operational data and financial savings reported by regional business units and agencies, ensuring absolute transparency and compliance with corporate frameworks.
  • Identify, document, and evangelize operational best practices to ensure standardized adoption across global entities.

Logistics Division Performance & KPI Management

  • Oversee the consolidated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking mechanism for the global logistics division.
  • Critically review and validate departmental performance metrics prior to corporate submission.
  • Lead complex, multi-departmental projects to ensure the seamless deployment of optimization initiatives, tracking their direct impact on expenditures and operational activity.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • More than 10 years of progressive experience within maritime operations, global supply chain, or enterprise-wide process improvement roles.
  • Strong familiarity with liner shipping operations, maritime logistics, or container shipping workflows is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships and guiding cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a heavily data-driven approach to analyzing process flows and financial metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent, driving organizational transformation and mentoring teams on efficiency methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma principles).
