Job Description

Brief Summary

We are looking for a committed and skilled individual to take on the role of Manager - Finance & Operations. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing critical financial processes and ensuring compliance within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee comprehensive financial accounting functions, including leading month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy of the general ledger in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SRS). Prepare and review monthly financial statements, conducting balance sheet reconciliations and providing analytics for management. Coordinate annual audits, ensuring timely completion and preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings (e.g., GST, Annual Returns). Manage budgeting and forecasting by providing historical data and trend analysis. Lead the opening and closing of bank accounts, ensuring proper documentation and authorization. Serve as the system owner for the accounting/ERP system, overseeing implementation, upgrades, and user training to align system configurations with accounting policies. Maintain documentation of vendor contracts, accounting policies, SOPs, and workflows, ensuring adequate systems for asset and facilities management. Manage compliance with statutory laws and regulations related to the organization's secretarial matters, including record-keeping of Board and Committee meetings, preparation and filing of resolutions and statutory filings, and maintenance of company records. Facilitate the coordination of Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and other statutory meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA, ACA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience within social services, charitable organizations, or non-profit sectors is advantageous. Strong understanding of Singapore FRS and regulatory requirements, particularly in Fund accounting and Grant reporting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. High integrity and a commitment to ethical standards, with a results-driven mindset to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
