Job Description

Developing, owning and on a regular basis reviewing the overall strategy for the Finance Department including organizing and defining activities of the Finance Department
Implementing various strategies and framework within Finance Function and execute all activities relating to Finance function, including but not limited to Treasury Functions, drawing up management information reports for various stakeholders, engaging with the auditors (statutory and internal) and in coordination with Accounts team ensuring that the books of accounts and financial statements are complete, audited, tax returns are duly filed and financial statements are dealt with as per timelines and requirements under law as well as internal policies.
Drawing up a Financial Plan and Strategy for the organization, including drawing up cash flow plans, organizing and managing cash flow driving activities, organizing and managing trade financing activities and liaising with Banks on a regular basis for trade and cash transactions
Primary responsibility includes understanding existing systems and procedures, suggesting improvements from time to time and taking accountability for all of the treasury activities comprising of funds flow planning, cash flow management in the long, medium and short term, monitoring and deployment of inflows and outflows. Responsibilities include Initiation of inflows and outflows as per cash flow and cash budgets in coordination with Sourcing and Distribution teams.
On a need basis, assist and collaborate with the Sourcing Team and the Marketing & Distribution team on aspects related to financing or control or otherwise
Total responsibilities of AR and AP management including processing of payment inwards and payments outwards and overall management of ageing and internal controls
Processing and management of business expenditure including staff and other regular and adhoc expenditure.
Any other related tasks as assigned by the Head - Sourcing and Distribution and/or the CEO which is related to the overall Finance and Accounts department.
