In conjunction with Director to develop and support FEWB trade.
Work directly with Ocean Procurement team and management to develop pricing and business/product development strategies to win new business and maximize profitability.
Analyze market conditions to help facilitate deal-making and enable proactive guidance of the commercial organization to drive closing ratios and margin improvement.
Grow volume and foster trade development based on a clear plan (strategic and transactional) which enables businesses to grow sustainably, healthy and in line with the assigned trade budget.
Provide competitive buying rates for existing and potential businesses.
Prepare pricing instructions, matrices, and bid instructions for RFQs.
Determine allocation shipping line, trade, and accounts.
Escalation point for operational support once local escalation has been exhausted with no result.
Maintain and develop relationships with key business partners (shipping lines).
Furnish statistical support and data analysis related to ocean activities.
Administer ocean contracts and amendments and communicate as appropriate.
Optimize procurement activities, ensure an optimal GP, support local trade teams to achieve best procurement results as well as optimal pricing with customers.
Maturing and accelerating carrier relationship management.
Achievement of the committed carrier budgets as well as ensuring carrier allocation safeguarding.
Engagement with sales and ocean product teams in the countries.
Quarterly meetings with key vendors to discuss scorecards and future business direction.
Other duties as assigned by Director.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
At least 12-15 years of experience in transportation and logistics procurement & trade management, preferably in a global organization
Knowledge of and experience in the FEWB trade
Strong procurement & negotiation skills
Trade / business development skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Proficient in procurement software and tools
Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus
