As part of a dynamic Business Finance team, you will be responsible for management reporting, overseeing the annual Group-wide budgeting exercise, and evaluating strategic initiatives across the Group.
This role places strong emphasis on leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and AI-driven solutions to enhance expense management effectiveness. You will support the Expense Management Team Lead in driving transformation, delivering actionable insights, and embedding data-driven decision-making across the Group.
- Evaluate Group-wide initiatives by assessing programme design, budget adequacy, proposed metrics, business deliverables, cost reasonableness, and offering guidance to the Local Entities.
- Conduct expense management reviews by analysing spending patterns using advanced analytics, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and driving standardisation of expense practices across the Group.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of budget templates for the annual Group-wide exercise, incorporating automation and scalable design to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Drive the end-to-end transformation of reporting and analytical processes through automation.
- Champion the adoption of AI and advanced analytics (e.g., predictive modelling, trend analysis) to enhance expense insights, forecasting accuracy, and decision support.
- Identify, design, and implement digital solutions (e.g., dashboards) to improve data accessibility and reduce manual intervention.
- Support the Team Lead on strategic projects, including finance transformation initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through innovation and emerging technologies.
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Finance or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in finance operations.
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the insurance industry and in finance operations or expense management roles.
- Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Python, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Have experience or exposure to automation and digital solutions (e.g., macros, scripting, workflow tools), with an interest in applying AI-driven capabilities to enhance finance processes.
- Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to drive innovation, automation, and process optimisation while maintaining strong governance and controls.
- Possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence.
- Are driven, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail while maintaining a holistic understanding of key business priorities.
