Job Description

Reports to: VP, Corporate Communications

As a key member of the Group Corporate Communications team, you will play an important role in shaping and delivering integrated communications that strengthen the Group's purpose, reputation and narrative as a global technology, defence and engineering group, and contribute to its growth and success story.

To achieve these outcomes, you will be an experienced strategic and creative storyteller who brings fresh perspectives to your work. You are a self-starter and problem-solver—resourceful, meticulous and continually seeking new and better ways of working or communicating. With an interest in technology and innovation, you possess excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects with a focus on results.

You recognise that creating compelling and effective content requires continuous learning — keeping pace with trends in digital communications and AI, while deepening your knowledge of the Group, its businesses, products and solutions. A collaborative team player, you will help to establish and embed communication best practices, contributing to the team's overall success.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated communications plans aligned to business objectives using the PESO (paid, earned, shared and owned) model.

  • Create high-quality and effective communications and PR content including key messages, news releases, media pitches, presentations etc.

  • Develop and execute media relations plans including proactive pitching to drive positive earned media coverage and maximise positive exposure for the Group/business/leadership.

  • Manage media relations, including responding to media queries, facilitating media interviews, building strong working relationships with journalists, and maintaining accurate media contacts.

  • Source and develop content, stories and social media posts for our platforms (eg. corporate website, intranet and social media) and collaborate with relevant teams on execution.

  • Support Group/corporate functions/businesses on key initiatives, tradeshows/events, including publicity and communications.

  • Contribute to the development of corporate collateral (eg. videos, presentations, annual reports etc.)

  • Monitor daily news and contribute to communications reports.

  • Support issues management including media/social media monitoring, analysis and reports as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • University degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience in large, global and matrix organisations. Experience in a PR agency is an advantage.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a strong ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences and channels, including simplifying complex/technical concepts.
  • Media relations skills with sound understanding of media and the news cycle, and proven success in securing earned media coverage.
  • Experience in social media strategy and content development, with working knowledge of video production.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for content ideation and development.
  • Meticulous, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple, diverse priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent command of English with strong writing and editing skills.
