Position Overview
The Manager, Community Engagement & Partnerships leads KKCS's strategy and systems for engaging the community as partners in our mission. This role oversees communications, resource development (fundraising), volunteer engagement, and partnership development to build sustainable relationships, strengthen public trust, and support organisational growth.
The role ensures that KKCS's external engagement efforts are coherent, values-aligned, and strategically positioned to support long-term impact for KKCS.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Community & Partnership Strategy
1.1. Develop and implement a coherent strategy for community engagement and partnerships aligned with our strategic vision.
1.2. Identify and prioritise strategic partnerships that support KKCS's services, sustainability, and regional ambitions.
1.3. Strengthen KKCS's positioning and relationships with community, corporate, and sector partners.
2. Volunteer & Community Enablement
2.1. Oversee organisational volunteer management strategy and systems.
2.2. Enable service units to effectively plan, deploy, and manage volunteers through clear frameworks, tools, and guidance.
2.3. Ensure volunteer engagement practices are safe, ethical, and aligned with organisational values.
3. Fundraising & Communications
3.1. Provide strategic direction for organisational communications and fundraising efforts.
3.2. Ensure fundraising, donor engagement, and communications efforts are aligned, consistent, and well-coordinated.
3.3. Support development of organisational narratives that strengthen trust and credibility.
3.4. Oversee donor engagement and reporting approaches in collaboration with relevant teams.
4. Integration & Enablement
4.1. Establish and maintain policies, processes, and systems for community engagement, partnerships, and volunteer management.
4.2. Align community engagement efforts with organisational priorities and service needs.
4.3. Provide guidance and advisory support to service units engaging external stakeholders.
4.4. Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and risk requirements related to volunteers, donors, and partners.
4.5. Use data and insights to assess engagement effectiveness and inform improvement.
5. Leadership & Management
5.1. Supervise and develop team members within the Community Engagement & Partnerships function.
5.2. Foster a collaborative, professional, and enabling team culture.
5.3. Support continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools.
5.4. Represent KKCS in relevant community and partnership forums where appropriate.
5.5. Provide secretarial support to select committees from time to time.
6. Other Duties
6.1. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and the leadership team.
