About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Manager, Community Engagement to lead community outreach, fundraising, donor engagement, stakeholder partnerships and volunteer management. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and community stakeholders to advance the organisation's mission and community impact.
  • Develop and lead fundraising initiatives, campaigns, sponsorships, and donor engagement activities to achieve fundraising goals and expand support networks.
  • Oversee communications and outreach efforts across digital, media, and stakeholder channels to enhance organisational visibility, engagement, and brand reputation.
  • Provide strategic direction for community engagement programmes, donor events, and outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organisations to enhance collaboration, resource mobilisation, and organisational impact.
  • Oversee donor and stakeholder engagement systems, reporting, and analytics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight of the volunteer management function, guiding the team in volunteer engagement, retention, recognition, and programme development.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop 6-7 team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture while ensuring effective execution of departmental priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to develop engagement strategies, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Mandatory Degree or professional qualification in Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years experience managing a team, in community engagement, fundraising, communications, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, volunteer management, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, including setting objectives, managing performance, and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Experience in organising campaigns, events, or engagement programmes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital communication tools, and social media platforms is preferred.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
