JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Business Process, is responsible for identifying, documenting, improving, and monitoring business processes and ensure the outcome align with CUL strategic goals. The role works closely with stakeholders to develop standardised operating procedures, optimise workflows and improve efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business Process Strategy& Optimisation
- Define, document, and standardize end-to-end business processes across various functions.
- Analyse existing workflows to identify process gaps, bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for automation.
- Lead the development and implementation of process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service reliability.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with IT teams to align systems with optimised processes.
2. Process Governance &Performance Monitoring
- Establish and manage a global business process governance framework, including clear process ownership, roles, and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive process repository, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and policies are accurate and up-to-date.
- Design and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes.
- Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards (Power BI) to provide actionable insights to management and stakeholders.
3. Stakeholder Engagement& Change Management
- Act as a strategic partner and liaison between business units (Commercial, Operations, Finance) and the IT/development teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct process assessments, and secure buy-in for new initiatives.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies, including conducting training sessions and developing communication materials.
4. System Implementation &Support
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and development teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and support system deployment activities.
- Provide post-implementation support for new corporate systems, acting as the bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of automation solutions like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to boost productivity.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Officer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the container shipping or liner industry, with a proven track record in Business Process Management (BPM) or similar roles (e.g., Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational and project management skills to lead initiatives from conception to execution.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Proven experience in process mapping, gap analysis, and implementing process automation strategies.
- Experience partnering with Technology to translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or additional credentials such as PMP/Prince will be an advantage
