We are looking for a Manager, Business Improvement to join our team!

Purpose of the Role

The Business Improvement Manger plays a key role in shaping and delivering AET's digitalisation and business improvement agenda, translating strategic priorities into executable initiatives across functions. The role contributes to identifying process inefficiencies, gathering data insights, supporting technology pilots, and ensuring effective adoption of digital tools across functions.

Working under the guidance of the Head, Business Improvement the role provides analytical, operational, and project coordination support to drive incremental improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and business performance. Contributes to BI portfolio planning, prioritisation, and reporting to senior management.

Acts as a business improvement advisor to functions on process optimisation, digital opportunities, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

Digital & Business Improvement Support

  • Support the development and execution of business improvement and digitalisation initiatives aligned to departmental and organisational priorities.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and preliminary assessments on emerging technologies, tools, and vendors relevant to maritime digitalisation, as delegated by the Head of BI.
  • Assist with data gathering, data validation, and basic analytics required for digital evaluation, business case preparation, and project reviews.
  • Diagnose cross-functional process inefficiencies and recommend improvement options, including digital, process, and change interventions.
  • Prepare draft reports, presentations, and documentation to support decisionmaking.

Project Management

  • Owns assigned business improvement and digitalisation workstreams end-to-end, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and delivery.
  • Support crossfunctional collaboration by following up with internal stakeholders on assigned tasks, requirements, and project inputs.
  • Maintain project documentation, including logs, change requests, testing notes, and user feedback.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), training logistics, and rollout support for new digital tools and systems.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews, providing insights and recommending corrective or optimisation actions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Adoption

  • Assist the Head of BI in promoting awareness and adoption of digital solutions by preparing user guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, and communication snippets.
  • Accountable for driving user adoption and change outcomes for assigned initiatives, including training effectiveness and feedback closure.
  • Gather feedback from frontline and operational teams to highlight issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Help maintain relationships with technology vendors by supporting vendor meetings, demos, and followups.

Governance, Compliance & Standards

  • Support the implementation of digital governance policies, data standards, and compliance requirements established by the Head of BI.
  • Conduct basic checks to ensure documentation, change controls and processes correspond with governance expectations.
  • Maintain wellorganised repositories of digital assets, project artefacts, and reference materials.
  • Comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE) and ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulations
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Maritime Studies, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, digital projects, process improvement, or relevant function.
  • Experience manging projects involving data, automation, analytics, or digital systems.
  • Exposure to shipping, logistics, or other assetheavy operational industries is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead without authority.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Competence in Excel, Power BI or similar tools for data preparation and simple analysis.
  • Interest in digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction while exercising initiative within defined boundaries.
