The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a dynamic social media strategy that promotes Singapore Oceanarium's mission, drives engagement, and enhances brand visibility across all digital platforms. This role combines creativity, analytics, and storytelling to connect audiences with marine life, conservation efforts, and educational programs.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of social media specialists and interns.
- Set clear goals, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery of campaigns and content.
Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that supports branding objectives and enhances audience engagement.
- Stay ahead of trends and emerging platforms to keep the oceanarium's digital presence innovative.
Content Oversight:
- Guide the creation of high-quality, engaging content (posts, videos, stories, reels) across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Ensure brand consistency and accuracy in messaging, tone, and visual identity.
Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute social media campaigns for exhibits, events, and conservation initiatives.
- Manage influencer collaborations and paid advertising campaigns.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare detailed reports with actionable insights.
- Use data to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to tell compelling stories about marine life and conservation efforts.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Marketing Communications, Digital Media or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proven track record of growing social media audiences and engagement.
- Strong understanding of analytics, paid advertising, and influencer marketing.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
- Robust understanding of digital content and social marketing industry trends, tactics, and user behavior, including content distribution strategies and best practices.
