The successful candidate will be part of the Private Bank Middle Office Security Settlement team, providing support for trade settlement of security transactions and related activities. The role requires strong operational expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Back Office and counterparties to ensure accurate and timely settlement of security transactions.
- Validate security transactions in Private Banking systems prior to instructing processing units.
- Communicate settlement discrepancies and exceptions to Front Office, Back Office, and relevant parties, providing instructions and guidance for proper resolution.
- Reconcile cash and security positions with internal and external counterparties daily and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to process client portfolio transfer instructions across multiple asset classes.
- Disseminate corporate action notifications from custodians and ensure timely response from the Front Office.
- Maintain static data of securities in Private Banking systems.
- Provide assistance and advice on security settlement matters.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Banking/Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 36 years of operations experience in securities settlement covering exchange-traded instruments, fixed income, structured notes, unit trusts, derivatives, FX, corporate actions, and asset transfers.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
