[What the role is]
The Environmental Health Institute (EHI), a research arm of the National Environment Agency (NEA), conducts multi-disciplinary scientific research that translates into evidence-based public health programmes and policies. We are seeking a professional to drive strategic procurement, asset management, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) project delivery in support of EHI's scientific research and laboratory operations.
[What you will be working on]
- Collaborate with EHI's scientific Divisions and NEA corporate services to plan, prioritise, and implement strategic procurement approaches that support research, laboratory, and facility operations
- Prepare procurement contracts for laboratory facilities works (fit‑out, addition & alteration), facilities management, laboratory equipment, consumables, and outsourced services, in compliance with government procurement requirements
- Support end‑users on government procurement policies, procedures, and governance, including appropriate contracting strategies
- Support asset management planning and governance, including asset lifecycle planning, utilisation, replacement strategies, and maintenance of accurate asset records
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project approvals, costs, variations, and milestones.
- Drive digital and data‑driven solutions to improve contract management, asset tracking, payment workflows, and strategic procurement insights
[What we are looking for]
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, asset management, or project management within scientific, research, or laboratory‑based facilities
- Familiar with government procurement policies and procedures
- Able to prepare and manage tracking lists for effective follow‑up and reporting
- Strong organisational, analytical, and project management capabilities
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
