[What the role is]

The Environmental Health Institute (EHI), a research arm of the National Environment Agency (NEA), conducts multi-disciplinary scientific research that translates into evidence-based public health programmes and policies. We are seeking a professional to drive strategic procurement, asset management, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) project delivery in support of EHI's scientific research and laboratory operations.

[What you will be working on]

  • Collaborate with EHI's scientific Divisions and NEA corporate services to plan, prioritise, and implement strategic procurement approaches that support research, laboratory, and facility operations
  • Prepare procurement contracts for laboratory facilities works (fit‑out, addition & alteration), facilities management, laboratory equipment, consumables, and outsourced services, in compliance with government procurement requirements
  • Support end‑users on government procurement policies, procedures, and governance, including appropriate contracting strategies
  • Support asset management planning and governance, including asset lifecycle planning, utilisation, replacement strategies, and maintenance of accurate asset records
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project approvals, costs, variations, and milestones.
  • Drive digital and data‑driven solutions to improve contract management, asset tracking, payment workflows, and strategic procurement insights

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, asset management, or project management within scientific, research, or laboratory‑based facilities
  • Familiar with government procurement policies and procedures
  • Able to prepare and manage tracking lists for effective follow‑up and reporting
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and project management capabilities
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
