Job Description

The candidate supports the trading desk in evening shift (3pm-11pm) in executing, monitoring, and managing of commodities trades across physical gold and/or paper markets. The role focuses on execution support, market analysis, risk monitoring, and operational coordination, while building a strong foundation in precious metals pricing, hedging, and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior traders with execution of commodity trades in physical gold and/or derivatives markets
  • Monitor live market prices, spreads, and liquidity across exchanges and OTC markets
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade capture in trading and risk management systems
  • Support inventory management and daily position reconciliation
  • Assist the desk in managing ad-hoc projects and development of product programs
  • Monitor exposure limits, mark-to-market movements, and stop-loss levels
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, vaulting, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade settlement
  • Support contract documentation, confirmations, and counterparty communication

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in trading
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Familiarity with trading systems, Bloomberg, or Reuters is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of derivatives, futures, and hedging concepts preferred
