The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.

About the Role

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join us.

Reporting to the Assistant Senior Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of strategic learning and development programs tailored to emerging sectors, aimed at addressing skills gaps and fostering innovation. This role involves close collaboration with CET units to deliver impactful training interventions, as well as coaching and mentoring initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure that these programs effectively enhance organizational capabilities and promote a culture of innovation, driving economic growth and job creation.

This role is offered on a fixed-term, non-renewable contract to end on 30 Sep 2027, subject to a 6-month probation period.


Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus which is subject to the incumbent's performance and the University/School's prevailing remuneration policies.

The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


. Design and produce visually engaging materials such as posters, brochures, infographics, and online assets for SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTP) and SSG-funded programmes, ensuring consistency with the University's branding guidelines.

. Collaborate with content experts to develop dynamic multimedia presentations that integrate video, animations, and graphics, tailored to enhance learners experience and retention of key information for SCTP and CDG-supported programs.

. Design and implement interactive digital displays, such as touchscreens or online simulations, that facilitate interactive learning, helping to boost participant engagement during training sessions.

. Work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and marketing teams to ensure that all visual content aligns with the strategic objectives of the SCTP and CDG programmes, supporting effective communication and learner engagement.

. Ensure that all produced visual content adheres to the University's branding and messaging guidelines, while also meeting the specific objectives and initiatives of the SCTP programmes.

. Engage with industry experts, academia, and other relevant stakeholders to curate content and ensure the learning resources are industry-relevant, up-to-date, and technically comprehensive.

Requirements


Academic & Professional Certification
. A bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design or multimedia arts or any design discipline from a reputable university,
. IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications

Experience & Attributes
. Preferably 3-5 years of related working experience with a strong design portfolio
. Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude
. Excellent coordination and organisation skills, with a customer-centric mindset
. Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment

Salary expectations, if quoted, should be on a 12-month guaranteed basis do not include variable components like performance bonuses, incentives & allowances.
