About the organisation

United Women Singapore Limited (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women's empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 28 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women's empowerment and anti-violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Partnerships and Fundraising Manager/Assistant Manager to develop and implement diverse fundraising strategies. This role involves fundraising for flagship events, grant applications with corporate and philanthropic partners, exploring alternative fundraising models, and building strategic partnerships through multiple channels such as retail, digital campaigns, CSR collaborations, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is organised, relationship-oriented, a team player and passionate about driving social impact.

The role reports to the Office Director.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

  • Conceptualise and create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach, business development and relationship management with the aim of raising funds for our programmes.
  • Explore alternative revenue streams and develop corporate fundraising programmes, such as employer donation matching.
  • Develop a process for identifying organisational priorities for grants.
  • Prepare compelling fundraising proposals, sponsorship decks, reports and donor communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnerships.
  • Plan, own and execute fundraising initiatives across various channels, including events, digital campaigns, retail collaborations, CSR partnerships, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Direct and manage flagship fundraising events, handling logistics, budgets, permits, vendors, and on-site operations.
  • Responsible for stock management of fundraising merchandise.
  • Collaborate with Communications to develop outreach materials and promote campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Responsible for donor engagement, campaign tracking, and volunteer coordination for both event-based and non-event fundraising activities.
  • Evaluate performance of fundraising efforts to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Events

  • Plan, own and execute flagship fundraising events in addition to working with partners / vendors.
  • Analyse performance of events and other fundraising activities for effectiveness and identify areas where use of resources can be optimised.
  • Forecast, measure, and report results of various fundraising and engagement events with partners and donors.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Responsible for strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement strategies to foster strong, long-term relationships.
  • Ownership of regular communication with partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers through email, newsletters, and social media.
  • Ownership and responsible for donor relationships, including recurring contributions, and recognition efforts.
  • Collaborate with Programmes Team to align fundraising efforts with programme needs and ensure adequate financial support for ongoing initiatives.
  • Coordinate engagement activities for volunteers, members, and interns to build a strong supporter community.

Alternative Fundraising & Retail Partnerships

  • Identify and implement innovative fundraising channels including CSR tie-ups, cause marketing, peer-to-peer, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with retail brands and outlets for co-branded campaigns, donation drives, and revenue-sharing models.
  • Explore collaborations with lifestyle, hospitality, and consumer brands aligned with the organisation's mission.
  • Monitor trends in philanthropy, retail, and digital fundraising to propose fresh, creative fundraising ideas.

Internal Coordination & Administration

  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, Board and Fundraising Committee to ensure alignment and efficiency across fundraising efforts.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation and coordination of all activities related to partners, events, campaigns, and donor engagement.
  • Responsible for reporting related to fundraising, partnerships, and donor management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization's objectives.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong sales and customer centric focus withexcellent communications and presentation skills
  • Strong digital and marketing skills,analytical skills, stakeholder management, project and event management skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevantroles including experience leading a marketing and communications-related function
  • Demonstrated high level skills in managing stakeholder relations, including government, corporate and philanthropic sectors
  • Ability to plan and multi-task
  • Ability to conceptualise new ideas and materialise into reality
  • Passionate about making a positive difference, enthusiastic, self-motivated, meticulous, persuasive and creative
  • Work or volunteer experience with non-profits will be an added advantage
  • Must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
