JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent supports the development, execution, monitoring and communication of the Company's strategic priorities across both Life and General Insurance businesses. The role works closely with business leaders and functional teams to coordinate corporate planning activities, perform market and competitor analysis, monitor strategic initiatives, and prepare management and Board reporting.
This position is suited for a high-performing professional with 5-7 years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, business transformation, consulting or financial services who is seeking to take on greater ownership of strategic initiatives while continuing to develop leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Corporate Strategy & Business Planning
- Support the annual strategic planning and business planning processes across the organisation.
- Conduct strategic, market and financial analyses to support strategy formulation and decision-making.
- Assist in developing business cases, strategic recommendations and growth opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging developments that may impact the Company's strategic direction.
- Support strategic reviews and planning workshops with business and functional teams.
2. Corporate Performance Monitoring
- Track progress against strategic priorities, KPIs and corporate objectives.
- Support the preparation of performance dashboards and management reporting.
- Monitor implementation of strategic initiatives and highlight key risks, dependencies and opportunities.
- Coordinate information gathering across business units for periodic reviews.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct competitor benchmarking across products, distribution channels, financial performance and customer propositions.
- Monitor developments within the Singapore insurance market and broader financial services industry.
- Analyse customer, distribution and market trends to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Support market sizing and business opportunity assessments.
4. Strategic Projects & Transformation Initiatives
- Support the planning, coordination and execution of strategic and transformation initiatives.
- Assist project leads in tracking deliverables, timelines and business outcomes.
- Conduct analysis and prepare materials for business transformation, digitalisation and innovation projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
5. Board, CEO & Management Reporting
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and executive summaries for Management and Board discussions.
- Translate business performance and analytical findings into concise and actionable insights.
- Support the preparation of strategic updates, annual planning presentations and management reviews.
- Ensure consistency and quality of strategic communications across stakeholders.
6. Strategic Research & Emerging Trends
- Monitor key trends impacting the insurance industry, including:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Climate Change & Sustainability
- Longevity & Ageing Population
- Customer Behaviour Changes etc
7. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Finance, Distribution, Product, Operations, Actuarial, Risk, Technology and Customer teams.
- Coordinate information gathering and alignment for strategic initiatives.
- Support effective communication between business units and senior management.
- Build collaborative relationships across the organisation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Strategy, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in either Corporate Planning/Management Consulting/Financial Services
- Experience in insurance, banking or other financial services sectors preferred.
- Good understanding of the insurance value chain and insurance business models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word
