  • This position is for Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner Schools, Offices, Colleges and Institutes to develop and deliver alumni engagement initiatives.
    • Identify, cultivate, and collaborate with industry partners to create meaningful opportunities and value-added engagement initiatives for alumni.
    • Contribute as an active team member within OAR to support cluster, department and university-wide events.
  • Volunteer Management: Manage Alumni Chapters, Groups and Communities
    • Strengthen alumni engagement by fostering and deepening relationships local and overseas alumni communities, in alignment with OAR's volunteer engagement strategy.
    • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to alumni chapters/groups on their initiatives, budget, succession plans, governance and related matters.
    • Maintain and manage alumni/volunteer database, ensuring records and contact information remain accurate and up to date.
  • Event Planning and Management
    • Conceptualise, research and execute a diverse portfolio of alumni engagement programmes which include panel discussions, class reunions and overseas townhalls (virtual) to drive meaningful connections and sustained engagement across diverse alumni segments.
    • Manage end-to-end event planning, execution, evaluation, reporting and communications to ensure successful delivery and engagement outcomes.
    • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and undertake other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of working experience, preferably in the higher education sector, in the areas of stakeholder engagement and event management.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) - with an outgoing personality.
  • Demonstrate strategic, critical and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Mature and relationship-oriented, with a proven ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with alumni, industry partners, and other stakeholders. Experience in alumni relations would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology, social media and database management tools.
  • Creative, innovative, energetic, and positive in outlook, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willing to work after office hours when required.
