Responsibilities of a Manager
- Work with Human Resources sta torecruit, interview, select, hire, andemploy an appropriate number ofemployees.
- Provide oversight and direction to theemployees in the operating unit inaccordance with the organization'spolicies and procedures.
- Health and safety of the workforce.
- Carrying out and attaining the missionand the goals of the business unit managed.
- Development of a superior workforce.
- Development of the department.
- Development of an employee oriented company culture thatemphasizes quality, continuousimprovement, key employee retentionand development, and highperformance.

- Coach, mentor, and develop staff,including overseeing new employeeon boarding and providing career
- Plan and implement systems thatperform the work and fulfill themission and the goals of thedepartment efficiently and effiectively.
- Plan and allocate resources toe'ectively sta and accomplish thework to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
- Plan, evaluate, and improve thee!ciency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality,efficiency, and output.
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary tocarry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodicreports for management, asnecessary or requested, to trackstrategic goal accomplishment.
- Communicate regularly with other managers, the director, vicepresident, president, and other designated contacts within theorganization
Manager Job Requirements
- Knowledge and experience inbusiness, supervision, andmanagement.
- Knowledge of the functions,operation, and mission of the specificdepartment.
- Better than average written andspoken communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonalrelationship building and employeecoaching and development skills.
- Management experience in a teamoriented workplace preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead anddevelop a department anddepartment sta members.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basiceconomics, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as aknowledgeable resource to theorganization's management team that provides leadership and direction.
- Excellent computer skills in aMicrosoft Windows environment.Must include knowledge of Excel andskills in Access..
- Evidence of the ability to practice ahigh level of confidentiality.Excellent organizational managementskills
