owns and operates a fleet of about 48 modern and high quality fully pressurized, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals and other specialty gases. We are headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Copenhagen, Manila, and Tokyo. Our vessels serve as a crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading energy majors and commodity trading houses throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. We employ approximately 2,000 seafarers and a multi-national team of about 180 shore-based staff.
Job Description
Our 24-months Trainee Program will provide you with an opportunity to explore your prospects through a broad, yet in-depth, exposure to our business, with the aim to move into a specialized role within the company after successful completion of the program. You will be part of an international organization with the opportunity to explore a career in the shipping industry.
You will undergo a comprehensive training program consisting of job function rotations in key departments of the company with focus on Finance. You will gradually develop knowledge and gain hands-on experience in various areas within the Finance Team including, but not limited to, accounts, ship finance, legal aspects and maritime insurance. You will get insight in the commercial aspects (Chartering, Operations) and technical functions (Technical, Safety, Crewing, Purchasing) of the company. Whilst being in a learning role, you will be given responsibility from day one.
You will also have the chance to visit a vessel and spend time in our regional offices (Copenhagen/Manila).
Qualification & Skills
- Degree in Business, Finance, Maritime Studies or related discipline.
- Good communication skills in English (written and oral).
- A passionate, self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and flexible individual who openly communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Applicant should be a Singaporean.
